London, July 27: Trailing 2-1 in the ongoing Ashes series at home, England want to finish on a high by winning the last match to level the 5-match series 2-2.

England opening batters Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett started their innings in an ODI fashion by scoring more than five runs per over. Both Crawley and Duckett got a life as two difficult chances were dropped in the slips cordon but Mitchell Marsh got the wicket of Duckett who edged the ball to the wicket keeper Alex Carey. Carey made no mistake.

Soon after Australia skipper Pat Cummins made a stunning comeback to claim the prized scalp of Crawley. Suddenly, from a commanding position of 62/0, England were 67/2. Josh Hazlewood maintained the pressure by getting Joe Root out, reducing England to 71/3.

But then, Harry Brook launched a counter offensive to bring up his fifty while Moeen Ali offered him good support.

England are 159/3 in the 31st over.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith held on to a difficult catch in the slips cordon.
