Pakistani pacers achieve a milestone on the Sri Lanka tour
Colombo, July 28: The just-concluded tour of Sri Lanka has proved fruitful for Pakistan in more ways than one. Many new records were broken and new ones created.

Shaheen Shah Afridi enters the 100-wicket club in Tests on the tour of Sri Lanka. In 27 Tests, the lanky pacer has 105 wickets with 11 four-fers, four 5-fers and one 10-fer. He got his 100th Test scalp during the tour.

Naseem Shah gets the 50th Test wicket. The right-arm fast bowler with a lot of variety, including away swingers, in-swingers, yorkers, bouncers and slower ones, took his 50th Test wicket on this tour. He took 9 wickets in two Tests. Overall, in 17 Tests, Shah has claimed 51 wickets with two 4-fers and one 5-fer.

Abdullah Shafique became the 11th Pakistani opening batter and 24th overall from his county to score a double century. He scored his maiden double ton in the Colombo Test.

Saud Shakeel’s double century was 45th double ton by a Pakistani batter. Javed Miandad and Younus Khan have scored six double tons, each; Zaheer Abbas and Mohammad Yousuf four double centuries, each; Azhar Ali three double tons.
By winning the 2-Test match series 2-0, Pakistan gained 24 important points to lead the World Test Championship Table for the new cycle.
Pakistan has become the first international team to win 5 Test series against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.
