MET Predicts More Rain Till July 28
Srinagar, July 23: Heavy rains caused distress in most parts of the Kashmir Valley on Sunday, as the Meteorological Department issued a fresh weather advisory till July 28.
Most parts of entire Jammu and Kashmir continue to receive rain water since Saturday morning. According to MET, the next 24 hours are crucial as fairly widespread precipitation is expected.
Bad weather has also temporarily halted the ongoing Amarnath pilgrimage.
As per MET officials, rainfall will continue till July 24-25, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy.
On July 26-28, the weather officials maintained, “no large change†is expected.
Regarding rainfall in the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today, he said, Srinagar received 9.0mm, Qazigund 22.3mm, Pahalgam 17.4mm, Kupwara 4.5mm, Kokernag 2.8mm, Gulmarg 19.4mm, Jammu 1.2mm, Banihal 4.2mm, Katra 48mm, Bhaderwah 1.8mm and Batote 19.3mm
