Ex-minister instigates ruling party workers to close legal licensed wine shop, so that his drugs’ trade can flourish more
Jammu: Politically affiliated goons involved in the business of manufacturing illicit liquor and traders of Chitta (drug) on Saturday attacked a Wine Shop in Kheri village in Bishnah town.
An FIR has been lodged against four accused and their accomplices for trespassing, manhandling, damaging and looting wine bottles from Wine shop at Kheri.
Prominent citizens of the area said, “these goon are basically involved in manufacturing illicit wine, sale of Chitta in the area, don’t want that a legal licensed wine shop be opened in the area.â€
‘â€Youth of this area is habitual of consuming Chitta (drug) and a senior politician, who is running this drug peddling trade has instigated few Sarpanchs and Panchs of the adjoining area to loot the wine shop to put pressure on the government to close the wine shop,†said a retired government employee residing in the area“
On the assurance of anonymity, he said, “Police must take stern action against these politicians who are spoiling the youth by making them habitual of Chitta (drug).
An ex-minister of ruling party who has not lost his political ground, is nowadays operating as biggest drugs supplier, to make easy money. The party has also sidelined him nowadays, said a local resident.
Today, soon after the goons guided by ex-minister and led by Vijay Saini, Sarpanch Kheri, Vipin Sarpanch Sarore, Pinka Sarpanch Chak Jawahar anmd. Jatinder Sarpanch Ratnal with their accomplices attacked, manhandled and threatened wine shop workers and looted wine bottles, an FIR was lodged with the police.
Police has got conducted the medical examination of the wine shop workers and efforts are on to nab the culprits. The ex-minister who is a drug peddler, and running property business also, is making efforts to safeguard these accused from police.
Bishnah Police has gathered sufficient evidences to prove the involvement of these political goons in looting Wine shop, sources said.
