Eight Dead, Including Five Children, in Kokernag Accident

Kokernag: In a tragic incident, Five children among eight people died after a vehicle rolled down near Daksum area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Officials told GNS that a vehicle Swift car bearing registration number JK03H9017 lost its control and rolled down the road near Daksum.

In this incident 8 people were killed, the vehicle with a family of 5 children, two ladies and male were coming from Kishtwar.

The details of family members are:

1. Imtiyaz Rather s/o Ghulam Rasool Rather r/o Kishtawar, age 45
2. Afroza Begum w/o Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather r/o Kishtawar, age 40
3. Reshma w/o Majid Ahmad, age 40
4. Areeba Imtiyaz d/o Imtiyaz Ahmad, age 12
5. Aniya Jan d/o Imtiyaz Ahmad, age 10
6. Abaan Imtiyaz d/o Imtiyaz, age 6
7. Musaib Majid s/o Majid Ahmad, age 16
8. Mushail Majid s/o Majid Ahmad, age 8

Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation has been initiated.
