Ahmedabad, July 22: The Ahmedabad airport in Indian state of Gujarat was inundated with waters up to the knees as incessant rains have affected many parts of Gujarat for the past few days,.

The rains have triggered a flood-like situation, as social media is flooded with multiple videos showing the scale of disaster at the Ahmedabad airport caused due to heavy rainfall. On Twitter, videos showed runways and terminal areas submerged under rain water.

Passengers travelling by air faced ordeal to arrive at the airport or depart. The authorities have issued instructions to passengers to double check with their airlines before reaching the airport.
