Sringar, Dec 05 : Night temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir have further dropped, with most areas, excluding Kokernag, experiencing freezing conditions, according to officials.
In Srinagar, the night temperature dipped to minus 1.4°C, while Pahalgam reached the coldest point at minus 4.3°C. Gulmarg, the renowned ski resort, recorded a low of minus 2.3°C.
Qazigund and Kupwara stations reported minimum temperatures of minus 1.6°C and 1.7°C, respectively. Kokernag in the southern district registered a minimum temperature of 0.2°C.
The meteorological department had predicted a further decrease in temperatures by 3-5°C. Additionally, the local Meteorological department forecasted dry and cloudy weather conditions in Jammu & Kashmir until December 10, with no wet spells expected during this period.
