Bengaluru, May 12: The results of the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023 will be announced on May 13, as some exit polls suggest that the Congress party is all set to emerge as the single largest party.
Voting for Karnataka assembly elections 2023 concluded on Wednesday (May 10) evening (7pm). The voter turnout was recorded at more than 70 percent.
Some exit poll agencies predict a hung Assembly, but others indicate that Congress is enjoying an upper hand with HD Kumaraswamy’s Janata Dal (Secular) possibly becoming a kingmaker.
The results for the three-cornered contest between the ruling BJP, the Congress and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda’s JD(S)will be announced on Saturday, 13 May.
Gowda’s JD(S) has confirmed that both the Congress and the BJP have expressed interest and are approaching the party for a possible post-election alliance, media reports from the southern Indian state say.
