New Delhi, April 22: Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win the Assembly Elections in Karnataka with full majority.
Shah was speaking at Aaj Tak’s Roundtable Programme on Karnataka elections. He told host Sudhir Choudhary that the BJP was all set to form the government in Karnataka.
Majority of poll surveys have suggested that the Congress will defeat the BJP by a landslide, but Shah’s assertion has added a new dimension to the Karnataka story.
“Let me tell you that we (BJP) are going to win. We will emerge victorious with full majority in Karnataka,†Shah said in the programme.
However, the reports emerging from the southern Indian state suggest that BJP is a divided house there, as many of its stalwarts have left the party and some have joined the Congress.
For now, BJP is stepping up its campaign in Karnataka while the Congress looks confident of a victory.
